If Your Just Staring At Your Walls…

You just never knew what wonderful piece of advice you would come across in the mystical woods of Summer Camp Music Festival 2008
“To change one’s life start immediately,do it flamboyantly,no exceptions.”
I took this picture over a year ago but it is exactly how I am feeling right this second. It’s time for some flamboyant changes!! I love this picture. It brings me right back to Illinois. What a wild patch of my life! We traveled 10 hours to see moe., Umphrey’s McGee, Tea Leaf Green, G. Love & Special Sauce, Blind Melon, OAR, U-Melt, late night sessions with Cornmeal.. so much more. We were a family this weekend- me kay shane spanky and matt. The power of positive thinking was working at it’s finest because I got to meet the love of my life this blessed weekend- Trevor Garrod. He is the keyboardist/singer of Tea Leaf Green. And he is incredible. We shook hands through a metal fence and it was the best moment of my life. I will not ever forget what he said…
“I feel like a little kid on a playground making a new friend”
I love that man- he is a musical marvel and vary handsome. Our paths will across again someday and it will be magical! Everything about this weekend was pretty magical! The last night we were there- me and kay were in our usual late night tent- the disco tent – boogying down with a giant blow up monkey. This tent went all night long for those people who refused to go to sleep at a music festival. They had 70s disco music and a huge screen with lights and fantasticness. When we finally pulled ourselves away from the madness and searched for our tent with Shane fast asleep a downpour of (not euphoria) rain violently struck. Suddenly cop cars and their megaphones were everywhere…
“Everyone please evacuate to your vehicles. There is a tornado warning headed this way. Please leave your tents and get to your vehicles right away….”
Can you imagine the panic that we should have been feeling???? It’s a good thing that nothing was able to wipe the grins off our faces at this point. It was an exciting adventure- running through the tents with the rest of the hippies, trying to get to your car before the tornadoes came to suck us up and take us away while deciding what was important enough to bring along!! The 5 of us slept in the car that night. No tornado ever made its way through. Crazy crazy.

We were very happy campers to say the least
